Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ANKO SOLUTIONS LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Blackjack Owl: Card Counting mobile app (the "App") and this website. If you have questions, contact us at support@the-next.ai.
In short: the App does not ask for your name, email or phone number and has no accounts. We collect device and usage data to run and improve the App, measure our advertising and process subscriptions. We never receive your payment card details.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Onboarding answers, such as your blackjack experience, age range, how often you play, your goals and daily practice time. We use them to tailor your training plan.
- Support messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
Information collected automatically
- Device data: device model, operating system and version, language, time zone, app version, and identifiers generated by the App or the operating system (such as an installation ID or Apple's identifier for vendors).
- Usage data: screens you open, drills and lessons you complete, answers and accuracy, streaks, and interactions with the paywall.
- Approximate location: country or region derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise location.
- Advertising data: if you allow tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device advertising identifier (IDFA) and data about the ad that led to your install. If you decline, the IDFA is not collected.
- Purchase data: subscription product, status, trial and renewal dates, and transaction identifiers provided by Apple. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive your card number or billing address.
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, practice and trial reminders are scheduled on your device. If we send push notifications, we receive a push token for your device.
2. How we use information
- to provide the App, personalize your training and save your progress;
- to process and restore subscriptions and free trials;
- to send reminders you have allowed;
- to understand how the App is used, fix bugs and improve features;
- to measure and optimize our advertising campaigns;
- to answer support requests;
- to prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
3. Service providers
We share information with providers that help us run the App. They process it on our behalf or under their own privacy policies:
| Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) | Analytics, crash reports, push notifications | Device and usage data, diagnostics, push token |
| AppsFlyer | Install attribution and ad measurement | Device data, IDFA (if allowed), ad and install data, in-app events |
| Meta (Facebook SDK) | Ad measurement and optimization | Device data, IDFA (if allowed), in-app events |
| TikTok | Ad measurement and optimization | Device data, IDFA (if allowed), in-app events |
| Apple | Payments and subscriptions | Purchase data |
| Our hosting and analytics infrastructure | Storing app events and subscription status | Device, usage and purchase data |
We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing device and event data with advertising partners to measure ads may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some US state laws. You can stop it by declining tracking in iOS (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking) or by contacting us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the App and subscriptions), based on our legitimate interests (analytics, security, improving the App), based on your consent (tracking and advertising identifiers, notifications), and to meet legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above: usage and analytics data for up to 26 months, purchase records as long as required for accounting and tax law, and support emails for up to 2 years. Progress stored on your device is removed when you delete the App.
7. Your rights and choices
- Access, correction, deletion, portability and objection. Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK and US states such as California), you may request these. Email support@the-next.ai with the subject "Data request". Because the App has no accounts, describe your device and approximate install date so we can find your data. We respond within 30 days.
- Tracking: turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in iOS settings.
- Notifications: turn them off in iOS settings at any time.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel them in your Apple ID settings.
- You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Children
The App is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will delete the related data.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in the App.
